Sadness Lane

SADNESS LANE

Driving through this path, with resounding pounds of my heart

Your name echoes in my thought, your beauty, which now is not

My memory drives me insane, my mind swallowed in pain

Darkness bath my soul, grief now has filled my bowl

I’ve never felt so alone, as sadness is all I’ve known

I miss you so, the wonders of your glowing eyes

If only you knew that my previous pride were lies

Maybe, just maybe you would have stayed, now for my carelessness I’ve paid

A price to heavy to name, a long drive on sadness lane….
