FOREVER

FOREVER

I have waited a long time just to see this moment

I have traded all that I was just to finally get off this torment

The songs that my old sad country use to sing

The pain that the memory of my past use to bring

Those awful smell of death that followed me

The false promises I held unto that I would one day be set free

Is this not what I have lived and died for?

That immortality might be tasted by the lips of the poor

The poor souls that lived in this mortal earth

Those whose destiny is nothing but certain death

I close my eyes each night hoping and praying

That one day, all that was nothing would became something

Something living and not just existing

Anything outside the frame of mortal life and thinking

I had prayed an eternity for the sound of this music

That hollow tune filled with air and shadows reek

The stain of the afterlife and its life before

The knowledge of the past, present and a future unsure

This is what I have died for

And yes indeed my soul was once poor

But I can boldly say to myself never again, never

As I have finally found forever.
